While what they have to say is true for them, there are no guarantees Atlas Profilax will produce the same results for you after your Atlas is back into proper alignment, since there are many other factors that impact on one's health. BEGINNING OF STORIES
While I was in India in March, 2005 attending the 21-day Oneness Process, I met and became friends with Christian Opitz, a Chi Gung practitioner, Herbalist, Nutritionist, Radiant Health Teacher and Neuroscientist from Germany. Having practiced Yoga for 30 years, Chi Gung for 20 years and researched Human Movement and Body Mechanics, I was amazed at how Christian moved; he seemed to gracefully spring and glide as he walked. I have practiced Orthobionomy and Massage for 25 years and when I palpated his neck I was amazed; it felt strong yet soft like that of a baby. He told me it was due to a treatment he had called Atlas Profilax.

After 15 years of experience with various forms of bodywork I received a treatment in the Atlas Profilax method. I have never experienced such profound, lasting changes from such a small investment of time: just one session and a follow up massage the next day. My neck mobility increased instantly and tension was released from my whole body. It was as if my body recognized something it had always known, yet could not experience. Walking and moving became more effortless and my practice of Chi Gung has clearly improved. What is most impressive to me is that these effects are permanent, do not require more sessions and span the whole spectrum from the structure of the skeleton and muscles to the more subtle energy channels. Over 20 years ago Cervical Spinal Fusion was performed on C5, 7 and 8. The remaining discs have been degenerating since then. During the last few years I have had headaches and pressure under the skull. Several times the pain became so severe that I was hospitalized and received injections under the skull (at a cost of $3000). This treatment provided relief for about nine months then it would be repeated.

I have to admit I was reluctant to have the Atlas Profilax correction. After this treatment I am a different and much happier person. I wake up each morning without a headache. There is so much less pressure under the skull that I can carry out a conversation without pain. After having numerous operations it may not be possible to remain pain free. If I continue as I am or improve even more I am very happy. My body feels free. - Grant W.

A friend suffered from migraines for over 20 years. After the Atlas correction they disappeared. I decided to have the correction as well. I now have a lot less tension, more energy and more freedom of movement in my neck. My posture has straightened and I walk with my spine erect. I have become 2 cm taller. Another friend who suffered with migraines had the Atlas correction. After the treatment they decreased and now, after three months, they have gone. - Gerolamo

Straight after the Atlas correction I experienced much greater flexibility in my neck. The fear of injuring my neck, which I had for a long time after straining my neck on several occasion, has completely gone. The next day during my Yoga Chi Gung practice I experienced the greatest change; my legs were equal length. For my whole life one leg was always shorter. Now my posture has completely changed for the better and my spine feels freer, more flexible and lighter. For the last four years I also suffered tension on one side of my face and pain, at times incapacitating, in one of my teeth, which was a support for a bridge. This condition is now completely gone. Straight after the Atlas correction I was lifted into an elevated state of consciousness, as if some energetic blockage had been released from my neck. After resting for 15 minutes I noticed that my whole spine and back muscles felt completely new, as if they had been returned to their original design. Now my spine feels more energetic than physical, lighter, freer and longer. My head feels like it is floating on my neck, there is a cushioned feeling when I stand and walk and I experience greater energy flow in Yoga Chi Gung practice. How amazing - over the last seven months the shape of my face has changed. At first the muscles either side of the jaw relaxed. After four months the bones of my skull shifted; slight bruising appeared on my forehead, new ridges formed across the top of my eyebrows. The overall symmetry of my face has improved; a lazy left eye now as active as the right one and a sinus and nostril bias slowly resolving. I have practiced the Alexander Technique and the Feldenkrais method for 15 years, which serve me well in observing the benefits of the atlas correction. As the months pass my neck is becoming a textbook Alexander neck, fuller, softer, with a connection between my head and body like a wide river instead of a narrow creek. I feel humbled and grateful for having had this groundbreaking procedure. For me it has been revolutionary. - Nick P.

In the summer of 2001 Michael Hane and I met during a Tai Chi class. Both being Certified Massage Therapists there was an instant bond. Over the past several years I was blessed to have Michael became my only Therapist I'd employ for my couples massages.

During my training as a Watsu Practitioner in August 1997, my neck was injured by a fellow student showing off. My entire spine was snapped in a snake like manner thus my neck and back were paralyzed for 3 days. My body never truly recovered from the injury, add 4 years as a bodyworker equals a great deal of daily pain.

Early 2004, after complaining of my painful neck during a massage treatment Michael suggested I speak with his father, Ted. Ted Hane, a healer from Switzerland who was the first person offering Atlas Profilax sessions in America, was treating patients at his son's home before returning to Switzerland. Atlas Profilax, currently offered in ten countries, affects the topmost spinal vertebra called C1 or the Atlas. The treatment involves the massaging, including the use of a pulsating probe, of the soft tissue surrounding the C1 vertebra. This one-time 15-minute process allows the Atlas to in most cases permanently self-correct.

This 15-minute process changed my life. While being comforted by Ted during the pulsating probe process I heard and felt a pop, a release from pain like no type of bodywork I'd ever experienced. Free flowing energy gushed through my entire body. Tears of relief flowed just as freely. I knew in that instant I had been blessed with healing and that a deep wrong and been righted.

The next morning was the first time in years I woke without pain in my neck. My spirit also recognized the release and my conscious energy vibrated at a new higher level. Thus, my entire massage and energy healing practice has benefited from my experience with the Atlas Profilax method. - Unknown

My life will never be the same! Michael Hane has the touch of a healer, I truly believe God is working through his hands. The treatment hurt a little, but about 20 seconds after it was done, my arms started to buzz like crazy and a weird zap went from my neck around my jaw and straight down my spine. My body did this giant heave, and then I felt my entire body let go and relax. It felt like someone lifted 100 pounds off my shoulders. My vision went double and my arms buzzed for about 45 minutes after it was done. My head felt like it was floating on a cloud and I laid down and was actually comfortable for the first time in 3 years. After a few hours I felt the fog lift and I could actually think straight, it was amazing!! Anyway, long story short, I never suspected it was my neck, because I never felt much pain there until I felt nothing at all...as in NO PAIN ANYWHERE! …I kept turning my head left and right and up and down for hours, just because I could! Oh, the relief. I still do this. It's like a miracle.

When we left, I felt like I was walking straighter and the most shocking thing of all? No sciatica. My sciatica from hell that always ran down my right leg and made it feel like it was on fire, was calm. Where did it go?

Our son is doing great….His atlas was out, but went in quickly and easily. I will be so thrilled to see if his headaches disappear. So far, so good….My husband can also turn his head easily from side to side, whereas before he couldn't.

I don't know if this adjustment will help everyone as much as it has me. I can only say I was absolutely miserable with neck pain and unable to move my neck without feeling anxious and annoyed because of the pain. To have that gone is a tremendous relief and I'm open to any and all other good things to come. - Bev
